What is Divorce Mediation?

Mediation is a process that gives you control. You make the decisions.

The mediator provides a framework for constructive communication so you can work out solutions to the issues relating to your continued marriage, your separation, or divorce.

Mulford Mediation acts as a professional neutral third party ‚ an experienced facilitator of a proven process that leads to the successful resolution of conflict and disagreement.

"Your influence was a fantastic support for me in dealing with a very difficult and painful process. I will keep giving your name to all those who need it. Once again, thank you."

Mulford Mediation helps you customize and shape an agreement tailored to your specific needs.

At Mulford Mediation, the mediator is an attorney with years of experience and training in mediation.

"This beats going to court. We did everything that you would do there, but had more time to talk."

As a neutral, the mediator does not take sides, is not an advocate for husband or wife, and does not give legal advice. The mediator will provide you both with legal information. You are not obligated, but we encourage you to seek legal advice from your own attorney as needed before, during, and after mediation. Once you have created a draft of a written separation agreement with the mediator, then we encourage you to have your attorney review it before you sign. We welcome the involvement of legal, tax, financial, and other professionals to provide you with advice and information that will enable you to make fully informed decisions.

But remember, the decisions are yours to make, in mutual agreement with your spouse. The mediator will not impose any decision on you.
