Our Mission

Mulford Mediation will give you and your spouse the opportunity to plan and control your future because Mulford Mediation believes you and your spouse are best able to make the decisions that will affect your futures and the future of your children.

You are best able to consider the impact of various options on you and your children as you plan your future. You, your spouse, and your family are unique and deserve the chance to create a future plan that thoughtfully considers your specific needs.

Your spouse does not have to agree with your point of view in order to understand your point of view. However, disagreement, and the related aspects of disagreement, stress, conflict, argument, emotional turmoil, often prevent one from understanding the other's point of view. Successful, mutually acceptable, agreements take into consideration both your and your spouse's points of view. Mulford Mediation will help your spouse understand your perspective, and you understand your spouse's.

"A very helpful and positive experience that opened my mind up to realize what the situation actually was and how to deal with it in the future. Mr. Mulford was very helpful and easy to speak with."

Understanding the other does not mean that you agree with the other. Mulford Mediation recognizes that an experienced, neutral, professional mediator can guide, facilitate, and ensure effective communication between you and your spouse, i.e., that each of you understands the other. On the basis of understanding each other, Mulford Mediation will help you and your spouse create mutually acceptable arrangements that will successfully address your concerns and needs as well as those of your spouse and children, even when that seems impossible.

"My wife and I have tried mediation and it was a waste of time, but my attorney told me to call you, that you were different."

Whether you and your spouse choose to reconcile your marriage, separate, or divorce, whether you and your spouse are on friendly terms or not, whether Mediation is your idea or your spouse's, whether your marriage is of long duration or short, whether you have been referred to Mediation by a friend, an attorney, a therapist, or the clergy, whether attorneys or the court have become involved or not -- no matter where you and your spouse are in the process, Mulford Mediation will provide you and your spouse an environment that will enable you to treat each other the way you want to be treated, even in the midst of marital turmoil, and successfully plan your future. Whatever the outcome, Mulford Mediation will be far less stressful, much less expensive, and result in a better solution.
